Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

MethodGate (“MethodGate,” “we,” “us”) operates methodgate.com (the “Website”). We are an Exempt Dealer in Israel. For personal information collected through this Website, MethodGate is the controller.

Product accounts and product-site activity (CloudPack, CloudTemplates, Cintesa) may be governed by the privacy notice on that product’s site. Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy as described in section 6.

We handle personal information in line with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (including Amendment 13), and, where it applies to you, the EU/UK GDPR and similar laws.

2. The information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Website, answer you, sell Products, and meet the law. We do not sell your personal information.

Information you give us

• Contact form: name, company, work email, what you are exploring, whether you are an agency, studio, business, individual contributor, or partner, and your message.
• Job applications: name, email, and the resume or other file you upload, plus anything you choose to write.
• Email: if you write to privacy@methodgate.com or another MethodGate address, we keep the thread as needed to reply.

Information collected automatically

• Log and device data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps.
• Google Analytics (measurement ID G-9GEG272CEP): aggregated usage so we can see which pages are used. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Google reCAPTCHA on forms, to reduce spam and abuse. Google receives the token and related telemetry. Their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Information from others

Payment and billing data for Product purchases is collected by Lemon Squeezy, not stored by us as card numbers. Lemon Squeezy may share order details we need to fulfil a licence (name, email, product, plan). Job or sales leads may arrive from a partner you asked to introduce you; we use that only to follow up.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Website and Products are for people 16 or older (or 18 where your country requires it for this kind of contract). If you believe a child has given us data, write to privacy@methodgate.com and we will delete it.

3. Why we use it (purposes and legal bases)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on the bases below. Israeli law requires a lawful, specified purpose; we do not reuse data for a new purpose that is incompatible with the original one without a new basis or required notice.

• Respond to enquiries and provide support — the contact form and email. Basis: steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries; consent where a law requires it for that message.
• Sell and fulfil Products — licences, access, receipts. Basis: contract. Card processing is Lemon Squeezy’s.
• Setup or partnership work we have agreed in writing. Basis: contract.
• Recruitment — applications. Basis: steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in hiring; we keep applications only as long as the hiring process needs, unless the law requires longer or you ask us to keep a CV on file.
• Security, spam prevention, and fraud — reCAPTCHA, logs, service workers for the Website. Basis: legitimate interests; legal obligation where we must keep security records.
• Improve the Website — Analytics in aggregated form. Basis: legitimate interests. You can block cookies in your browser; some measurement may then be incomplete.
• Legal claims and compliance — tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests. Basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.

We do not send marketing email unless you have opted in, or we have another lawful basis (for example a relevant existing customer relationship where the law allows it, with a clear opt-out). You can opt out at any time via the email footer or privacy@methodgate.com.

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Website uses:

• Strictly necessary — session and security functions, including reCAPTCHA on forms and the service worker that caches pages for performance and offline use.
• Analytics — Google Analytics cookies or similar storage, to understand traffic.

We also load Google Fonts and hero video from ImageKit. Those requests can expose your IP address to those providers.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking Analytics cookies will not stop you using the public Website. Blocking all cookies may affect forms or theme preferences. We do not run a separate cookie-banner product on this static site; this section is the record of what we use. If we add non-essential advertising cookies later, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent first.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose, then delete or irreversibly anonymise it, unless a longer legal retention applies (for example invoices).

• Contact enquiries: typically up to 24 months after we close the thread, unless a contract or dispute continues.
• Job applications: typically up to 12 months after the role is filled or declined, unless you agree we may keep your CV longer.
• Analytics: according to our Google Analytics retention setting (currently the standard Google default unless we configure a shorter window).
• Security logs: typically up to 12 months, longer if we are investigating an incident.
• Contracts and billing records: as tax and commercial law require (often seven years in Israel).

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information with processors and independent controllers who help us run the business, under contracts where required:

• Lemon Squeezy, LLC (United States) — merchant of record for Product checkout. Lemon Squeezy is an independent controller of payment data. See their privacy policy on lemonsqueezy.com.
• Google — Analytics and reCAPTCHA; Google Fonts. Independent controller or processor depending on the product. See policies.google.com.
• ImageKit — delivery of Website media such as hero video.
• Hosting and email — the providers that serve methodgate.com and our inbox for contact and careers forms. Form submissions are sent to our configured inbox; we do not publish that infrastructure map here because it can change. We will name a processor on request to privacy@methodgate.com.
• Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, insurers, under confidentiality.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect MethodGate or others from harm, or in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

7. International transfers

MethodGate is in Israel. Israel is recognised by the European Commission as providing adequate protection for personal data. Some processors (including Google, Lemon Squeezy, and ImageKit) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where GDPR requires a transfer tool, we rely on adequacy decisions, the processors’ standard contractual clauses, or another approved mechanism. 8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small product company: HTTPS, reCAPTCHA on public forms, access limited to people who need it, and vendor contracts where required. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that the law requires us to notify, we will inform you and the relevant authority as required.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; to withdraw consent; and to receive a copy of data you provided (portability). Israeli law also gives rights of access and correction, and additional rights as Amendment 13 phases in.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@methodgate.com. We may need to verify who you are. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows (often 30 days under GDPR, with a possible extension). We may refuse a request that is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or where the law lets us withhold information (for example to protect another person’s rights).

You may lodge a complaint with:

• the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority (PPA);
• if GDPR applies, your local EU/EEA supervisory authority, or the UK ICO if UK GDPR applies;
• if you are in California, you may also contact the California Attorney General. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA/CPRA. California residents may request access, deletion, and correction using the same email. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post updates on this page and change the date above. If a change is material, we will provide a more prominent notice where the law requires it (for example a notice on the Website or an email if we have your address for that purpose). Continued use of the Website after an update means the new policy applies from that date to later collection. It is not a substitute for consent where consent is required.
